What TestPaper collects

When you create an account, TestPaper may collect your name, email address, mobile number and the exam you are preparing for. While you use the platform, we store test attempts, selected answers, scores, timing information, support conversations and other data needed to provide the service.

For signed-in students, we also record workspace visit timestamps, viewed workspace sections and visit counts. A new visit starts after 30 minutes of inactivity. This analytics feature does not record IP addresses, device fingerprints or activity outside TestPaper.

How the data is used

Account information is used to sign you in, keep your session secure, show your personal test history, provide support and operate TestPaper. Attempt data is used to calculate results and let you review your own progress. We do not use your answers to change an already-submitted result.

The platform owner can view student profiles, visit statistics and test activity in Admin Studio to understand how students use TestPaper. Other students cannot access your contact details, selected answers, private test history or support conversations.

Students who complete the same paper version can see its exam leaderboard. This shows each student's display name, best score, rank, the attempt number that achieved that score, and attempt counts. Each student appears once; email addresses, mobile numbers and individual answers are not included. Use “Hide my name” above any result leaderboard to replace your name with “Name hidden” on all test leaderboards while keeping your marks and rank visible. You can use “Show my name” to reverse this at any time. This preference is saved with your account; the owner can still see your profile in Admin Studio. Deleting your account removes your entry from current leaderboards.

Authentication and security

TestPaper uses email one-time codes instead of passwords. Authentication cookies are HttpOnly and are validated on the server. Security and rate-limit records may be retained for abuse prevention. No system can guarantee absolute security, but TestPaper is designed to limit access to authenticated users and authorized administrators.

Files and exam content

TestPaper may store or cache PDFs and other exam resources needed to display papers. Student account exports contain account and activity data; uploaded paper files are managed separately by the platform owner.

Your controls

Signed-in users can download a copy of their TestPaper account data from the account privacy page. Students with email accounts can also permanently delete their account and associated profile, attempts, support messages and workspace visit records. Deletion cannot be undone.

Retention and backups

Operational records are retained while they are needed to provide the service, maintain security or satisfy legitimate operational requirements. Backups may persist for a limited period after a primary record is removed. A formal retention schedule should be published before broad public registration.

Optional analytics and advertising

When configured, Google Analytics helps us understand visits and completed actions, and Meta Pixel helps measure advertising. These optional services load only after you allow their category. You can reject optional cookies and still use TestPaper, or change your choice through Cookie settings when measurement is enabled. Preferences are stored on this browser for up to 180 days.

Our measurement events include page views, successful registrations, sign-ins, completed tests and support enquiries. We do not include your name, email, phone number, answers, scores or support message text in these event parameters. Third-party services receive request information such as browser and network data when they load. Optional measurement is separate from the signed-in activity records described above. Google Ads conversions and server-side Meta Conversions API are not currently enabled.
